Why did you choose to work in film industry?

Since I was a child I thought I would work in a creative field because I loved writing stories, taking photos, watching movies, and creating stuff such as clothes and accessories. But, when it was time to choose my course of study I decided to get a medical degree. I understood pretty soon that it wasn’t the right choice for me so I decided to take a new professional path.

I’ve chosen cinema because I think is one of the most effective and universal media and I feel that it fits me.

How do you approach environmental sustainability?

I try to reduce my impact on a daily basis. It’s not easy and I know that I can do definitely more. I feel guilty because we live in the way we live with an enormous cost for people in poor countries and we take it for granted. I know that we need a huge change from all levels (from people but also from the Government) and sometimes it is overwhelming. As author/director I feel I have the power to change things through storytelling and cinema and I want to use all tools I have at my disposal.
