Why did you choose to work in film industry?
I chose more the art than the industry, as I am not really inserted in nor living from this industry. It is my art, my way of showing the world and sharing a point of view. My docs allow me to be creative and explore outside. They do not pay the bills, but they free myself in a certain way. I chose the audiovisual field inspired by my dad, who played with super 8 film in a younger age, but could not follow the audiovisual career. Making films also satisfy my aesthetic pleasure and is my way of expression. It is like painting and seeing myself in a projection, with layers of meaning. Every doc has the imprint of my Zeitgeist, so every production also represent my state of mind and capacity at that time. It is like a piece of me out there to be seen, judged, and discussed. I believe that through films we can share our mentality, inspire others, bring relevant topics into discussion, and portray the world in a particular way.

How do you approach environmental sustainability?
Actions mean more than words. I endorse among family and friends about the absurd consumption that our society is based on, also try to reduce the plastic usage. I volunteer in a weekly basis to the social movement Foodsharing.de , rescuing food that would be thrown in the garbage to be redirected to people who are not limited to the expiration date.
“Environmental sustainability is a matter of awareness and people should talk more about it, understand better how the production chain and consumer usage can be harmful to the world we live.”
